10 DAYS PROGRAM

HİGHLİGHTS: Antalya-Kalkan-Fethiye-Dalyan-Bodrum-Kuşadası-İzmir-İstanbul

DAY:1        ANTALYA

Arrival in Antalya Airport. You  will  be met at Antalya Airport and transferred to your hotel.The city  is the tourism capital of Turkey..It is an attractive city with shady palm-lined boulevards and a prize winning marina. Your hotel is located in the charming old  harbour  district of Antalya. Overnight.

DAY 2 :      ANTALYA-KALKAN

Breakfast and check out at the hotel. Departure for  the  pictureque town of Kalkan  which is an ideal resort  with its narrow and winding streets lead down to the marina. En route  visit,  Phaselis Alexander the Great’s favorite winter resort  .Then  visit  Demre and  Myra ancient  site . Your last visit is the modern Kaş or ancient Antiphellos. After visiting the ancient theatre proceed to  Kalkan  and overnight.

DAY 3:         KALKAN-FETHİYE

Breakfast and check out at the hotel. Departure for  Fethiye,ancient Telmessos.Visit Lycian capital ,Xanthos and Patara on the way .Your last stop Fethiye is situated at the conjuction point of Aegean and  Mediterranean Regions.At the popular resort of Fethiye is a major marina  at the head of a beautiful bay strewn  with islands.Visit tomb of Amynthas,which probably dates from the fourth century B.C. Overnight in Fethiye.

DAY 4:         FETHİYE-DALYAN

After breakfast proceed to  Yakaköy  (Tlos) which is the oldest city in the Lycian region and home of the Lycian hero Bellerophontes. You can see the remains of a castle agora,necropolis,theater, Roman Baths and a good view of Eşen Valley.After visiting Tlos continue  onto the spectacular  Saklıkent ( Hidden City ) Canyon which is an incomparable natural wonder .The canyon is 300 meters deep and 18 kms long ,the suspended restaurants, on the wooden platforms,above the water ,serve delicious trout fish .After Saklıkent  start your way to the charming town of Dalyan ,located on the banks of Dalyan River.High on the cliff face  are magnificent tombs that were carved into the rock.. Overnight in Dalyan.

DAY 5:        DALYAN-BODRUM

In the morning  visit the ruins of Kaunos ancient site where you can see the sanctuary of Zeus,the theatre  ,stoa fountain and  custom building .Then  proceed to  Bodrum.On your way to Bodrum stop at Akyaka Village  in Gökova.The village is famous for its regional architecture.  Your last stop of the day will be Bodrum.The town ,known in ancient times as Halikarnassos,was the birthplace of  historian Herodotus. Overnight in Bodrum.

DAY 6:        BODRUM-KUŞADASI

After breakfast  visit the Bodrum  Castle ,or castle of  St.Peter  in the harbour.The castle is a fine example  of 15th century crusader architecture,and has been converted into the Museum of underwater archaeology.You can also stroll   along  palm-lined waterfront,while elegant yachts crowd the marina. Then visit Mausoleum which was once one of the seven wonders of ancient world. In the afternoon  start your drive to Kuşadası  ,Bird Island,which is a lovely port built along the shores of a glittering bay around a tiny islet covered with flowers.Arrival and overnight.

DAY 07 :       KUŞADASI – IZMIR-İSTANBUL

In the morning depart to the glorious Ephesus , capital of the Roman Asia Minor ,to see extensive ruins which include 2000 years old marble street , a huge theatre, the library of Celsius and many other magnificent structures . Then visit the house of Virgin Mary on Mt. Koressos. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant. In the afternoon visit the nearby Basilica of St. John, as well the Temple of Artemis which was one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Drive to İzmir and transfer to the Airport.

 DAY 08:       İSTANBUL

Meeting at the hotel. Visit the splendors of İstanbul: the “ Hippodrome” the scene of the chariot races and the center of Byzantine civic life; the “ Blue Mosque “ ( Sultan Ahmet Mosque ), which is the most splendid of the Imperial Mosques in the city with itc cascade of domes and semi- domes; the “Hagia Sophia “ which was firstly dedicated in the year 360, during the reign of Emperor Constantine the great. Visit  the 6th  century underground Byzantine Basilica cistern with its 336 Corinthian columns. Visit the “Topkapı Palace Museum “ , world famous imperial residence of Ottoman Sultans  for nearly 400 years with its superb and unrivaled porcelain collections. Visit  the Covered Bazaar, the historical shopping center with nearly 4400 shops and labirynth-like alleys.Overnight at your hotel

DAY 09:         İSTANBUL

Meeting at the hotel. Transfer to the pier to embark the boat for a cruise  on Bosphorus. . Visit the Süleymaniye  mosque ,( The mosque complex  of  “ Süleyman the Magnificent” )  symbolizing the Golden Age of the  Ottoman Empire.Then visit Kariye Museum, a former Byzantine Church decorated with frescoes. Back to your hotel and overnight.

DAY 10 :  Check out and transfer to the Airport for your return flight.
